my advice for #accessibility tooting:
• always add descriptions to images, so screen-reading users know what they're about. include what the key info is (e.g. what food it is, description of yr face and mood if it's a selfie)
• use normal/custom emoji if you want, but sparingly
• avoid spelling whole words with the letter emojis.
N.B. different screen readers act differently - this is just illustrative of how they can work. See e.g. https://www.deque.com/blog/dont-screen-readers-read-whats-screen-part-1-punctuation-typographic-symbols/ for more detail
climate change
it's one of 2 things making me go "uhh wait should i really have moved here lol" because i don't wanna end up. behind the curve when serious climate refugee shit starts ramping up internally
TOOTHPASTE CHAT, food mention?
switching to a bentonite clay-based toothpaste is such a weird experience but also i think i like it? my teeth still "feel weird" bc they're not .. sort of .. coated? in the same way that Standard Toothpaste felt
but also my sensitivity to temperature seems to have gone away? so i'm getting used to the mouthfeel BUT i can be way more gungho abt cold consumables.. its nice
