Still looking into making one of the instances I'm debating. What's a better domain name: .social ($10/year), .club ($10/yr), .network ($5/yr) or .space ($4/yr)?

@alstor To be honest, right away now is not a good time to make an instance. With the influx of new traffic, a lot of instances are limiting federation requests, so it's getting a bit difficult to get all the links established.

(From my understanding, anecdotally speaking, awoo itself is closed to federation requests right now, unless my friend who was trying to was missing something about their process.)

@alstor I might be pretty off-base, honestly. But from what I've seen, it's the case. There are plenty that are probably happy to see new requests coming in, too...
