It is super easy to be doing bad mentally and not have folks around you in the workplace notice. In my experience the version you're getting of everyone's life at work is a second or third edit, which is something it's really helped me to keep in mind.

@angrboda I'm hyper competent at my actual job & work extremely hard and I still go through periodic bouts of thinking 'you're the weak link and everyone thinks you're lazy' for extended periods. Those stretches used to terrify me and convince me I was gonna get fired before I realized they're just bouts of bad mental health and they'll pass.

I've seen a couple comments to this effect on masto lately, so I just wanted to reinforce: if you're feeling like all of the sudden everyone distrusts you / thinks you're incompetent / doesn't want to talk to you, it's super likely that's a mood thing and not only do they not feel like that, they don't know you're thinking they do.
