I'm going it alone again this year, which is proving more challenging than I would have anticipated. I spend most of my life alone, after all. What's one more day? Turns out it kinda hurts a lot.
It's for a good reason this year (safety), but I see the landscape changing along with my own transition, and I can sense it's going to be a real challenge moving. I suppose I shouldn't dwell on it too much.
To those of you spending today alone, I send my particular strength to you. There are people out there who love and care about you. They want good things for you, and you deserve those good things.
