I’ve never actually seen Miami Vice because I’m pretty sure I’d be allergic to it, so instead whenever I listen to Jan Hammer’s epic soundtrack for it I just make up fic in my head about what it must be like. In my imagination, it’s sort of like Highlander, but with more beaches and alligators.

20 minutes into Shenmue and an old lady’s asked me where the Yamamoto residence is. I have no idea where it is but now she’s waiting for me in the park while I wander randomly around the area peering at low-res Japanese name plates and wondering if they actually expect me to know name kanji (I mean, it’s an easy one, but...)
