mastodon made me realise just how much triggering stuff I am constantly viewing on tw*tter.
every time I log on there is some form of abuse etc shown when I scroll down the timeline without me choosing to see it. I didn't realise the effect it has on me until mastodon and its content warning feature which I love so much!!
there's something comforting on mastodon wherein quoting, threading, and out-nuancing each other aren't as ubiquitous as it is on Twitter. having 500 characters helps but even before the Great Migration happens away from Twitter, I'm not saying social capitalists won't be a problem here?
the fediverse at least stands a chance of preventing huge individual prominences, and that's definitely valuable for online radical communities where cults of personality are an issue.
It's been a few days since we had that huge influx of new users. Are you here to stay?
Consider pitching in a few dollars to the project, as it is ad-free and we do not sell your data.

@omanreagan Thank you. I'll check it out.
@omanreagan As far as I'm aware, the Tusky app is the only Android option? And if it isn't, then that it's the most stable. I'm still fully conceptualizing Mastodon so I'm slightly unsure what I could be missing when I use the Tusky mobile app myself vs when I'm on desktop via browser.
