Therapy-adjacent thoughts

I was given a self-help book recently by a concerned person and I think so far I'm doing all of the activities incorrectly.

re: Therapy-adjacent thoughts, food mention

I'm reminded of the "pie of responsibility" exercise that my therapist taught me:

In this exercise you consider a situation, task or event, and cut a circular "pie" into pieces based on the proportion of responsibility belonging to each involved party (or external forces in general). It is meant to help when you take too much responsibility for things out of your control.

Unfortunately in this exercise I am just as much of a glutton for pie as I am in real life.
