re: If I do something foolish, please click here (pin)
I also feel compelled specify, since apparently this often goes unsaid, that this is not about any prior interactions or anyone in particular I've met on here.
Full disclosure I even considered titling this CW "Have I been an ass? Click here to find out whether you may be entitled to compensation!" to make it sound less serious, but I was too scared it would come off as disrespectful to the handful of people I've interacted with so far, who I dearly hope I have not already made uncomfortable in some way.
This is just how neurotic I am, how much I tend to over-filter my presence here, and I'm trying to make space for myself to practice unmasking a little bit.
If I do something foolish, please click here (pin)
I really want to be more myself on here, post more of my art and also more of my relatively SFW thoughts, and actually maybe interact with folks.
Unfortunately, I'm like clinically bad at reading the vibe, and the fediverse kind of intimidates the heck out of me. I feel like I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing on here so if I manage to get past my fear and post regularly then I will probably mess up sometimes.
If (or when) that happens, please feel free to tell me plainly that I'm being an ass.
Or if that's asking too much (I totally understand it can be!) then there won't be any hard feelings if you just block me outright.
I'm open to criticism and I don't want to make anyone uncomfortable.
Also if anybody has any useful tips for navigating this space, I'd be super grateful to hear them too!
Thank you for reading.
God, trans people fucking rule.
Maybe not all of us, some of us aren't great. But i can honestly say I've never met a boring trans person. Being openly trans in itself is an incredibly bold and vulnerable thing, so it's no surprise. But god. I'm so proud to be part of this community. You learn about a trans person's life, half the time they've been in a band or program wild stuff or draw art. Trans people are so damn cool. Nobody warned me.
Be ungovernable, like birds who make nests OUT OF ANTI-BIRD SPIKES. A new study describes resourceful Dutch & Belgian corvids besting evil architecture by stealing metal anti-bird strips and using them like thorny twigs, to construct their homes.
Like thorns, the spikes may protect their nests from predators.

re: Therapy-adjacent thoughts, food mention
I'm reminded of the "pie of responsibility" exercise that my therapist taught me:
In this exercise you consider a situation, task or event, and cut a circular "pie" into pieces based on the proportion of responsibility belonging to each involved party (or external forces in general). It is meant to help when you take too much responsibility for things out of your control.
Unfortunately in this exercise I am just as much of a glutton for pie as I am in real life.
@niss As someone who doesn't know you that well so maybe this is more of an outside perspective: I don't think kesi's body is sensitive content.
Rant about stock android issue
It really bothers me that when my phone is in "Mode sans distractions" (whatever it is in English), or even when that mode is temporarily paused, google search stops working 90% of the time.
I really need to block the majority of my phone's features for most of the day just so my silly little brain can get anything done (I shouldn't even be here rn), but I still need search! Especially when I'm stuck working away from my PC and can only really count on my phone for quick questions.
With the search bar being front and center on the stock android homescreen, I am left to wonder how this bug has been left like this for so long.
20-something creature which posts (and sometimes draws) unsavory things.
I am a work-in-progress. If I say or do the wrong thing, please let me know and I'll do my best to improve.
If you are a minor please go away.
