I have really bad luck when it comes to milk, I buy a medium quantity to avoid it going bad, but it almost always goes bad before due date anyway.

This got me & moo on the topic of "things to do with milk to use it before it goes". She suggested pudding, but then I was reminded of something I haven't had in ages, klatkager, which translates to "blob cakes" & I just had to share that thought. x3 Silly name, but they're really good though, something you'll be hard pressed to find outside Denmark.

What is it...? In Denmark we have a rise porridge called risengrød, traditionally eaten in the Christmas month with cinnamon sugar and melted butter.

The leftovers is what is used to make klatkager, mixing it with eggs, vanilla & a few things, then frying it on the pan. It's also used to make a second dessert porridge called risalamande, mixing it with vanilla & chopped almonds. This is the traditional dessert at Christmas & often there's a hidden whole almond & the one who find it gets a gift.

@cloakable
It is really nice ❤ I wish it was easier to share it with others abroad but it's hard to find the porridge rice outside Denmark.
