SO I just watched a video about a dude that moved over to Europe and I have questions.

Like do you seriously have to drive to get groceries, because there is none in walking distance (or walking would be dangerous)???

@maxine not in the uk, there's generally something local - I have an Aldi AND a Lidl in walking distance (but I cycle with trailer instead)

@cloakable As I live in Europe myself, this was also more towards the US folks.

Because I have 5 different grocery stores here in walkable range and over 20 I can reach with a bus

@maxine as far as I know (ie from cycling infrastructure youtube) American cities are hilariously unwalkable - lots of stroads, supermarkets are generally a car drive distance away, etc.

@cloakable yeah, I heard that in a video myself, but also, having lived this my entire life....

how would anyone even want to live like that???
