language learning rambling
I spent a lot of time studying Cantonese today, oof.
It's still really fuckin hard, but at least now I have enough vocabulary to form simple sentences, and my pronunciation is apparently comprehensible to my teacher as long as I speak very carefully.
most importantly, I think I finally crossed that initial barrier of language acquisition where my brain stops throwing a temper tantrum and grudgingly accepts these new sounds as A Thing It Should Attempt To Process As Lanugage.
