the rear sight assembly contains an intact, heavily greased gas piston extension: basically a rod with heavy spring that directly impinges on the action to cycle it.

the pictured barrel has a cruciform bayonet, and based on the arsenal code and serial number was probably made in 1977 for the civil guard (as opposed to the people's liberation army)
