financial difficulty / mutual aid request / boost OK

Hey y'all, we're gonna need some help. We're a couple hundred dollars short of our first rent payment at a new apartment, and it's due in two days. All three of us are short on money and just getting the money for the deposit alone was a huge challenge for us. I know times are tough, so it's okay if you can't afford to help, but please boost this post!

Oh, hey the resistance between this secondary and the iron core is less than an ohm, that's probably not good.

US election important info (Miami-Dade county, FL)

Miami-Dade county is reporting 23% of early ballots are being rejected for supposedly missing signatures.

If your ballot was rejected, go to this link for help, you can get someone at the local Dems to help you or you can do it yourself:

Guess who has a new car that has ignition issues and decided to slip into accessory every day and destroy the battery????

Me. It's me.

If anyone wants to help me out so I can pay my bills AND repair my car, here's my paypal.

@noelle this could almost be an ebooks.

also, hello. i haven't been around much when you're on so i kinda missed you.

electronics, electricity, probably don't read.

I think I have a short, but I'm not sure where.

  1. transformer runs off of mains: line wired to power switch to fuse to one side of the primary. other side of primary to neutral.

  2. The short occurs when the unit is plugged in, but not switched on.

  3. Current flows through the transformer, making it hot, but is low enough not to blow the fuse.

  4. Chassis ground is hooked to the center tap of the secondary.

  5. No conductors seem to be touching the chassis, except those that are supposed to be at ground.

  6. The unit works when switched on, but there is a power sag, probably because of the short.

  7. I am puzzled. The only path from line to neutral seems to be though the transformer, and having the switch off should keep that circuit open....
