Do you delete and recreate the build directory between compilations?

you could try sudo aptitude install libsdl2-image-2.0-0/artful and see what guidance it gives you

@LottieVixen@dev.glitch.social Well I got it to compile, but I didn't have any problems. So I'm not sure how much help I can be.
I ended up needing to do additional installs of
libphysfs-dev, libglew-dev, and libpng-dev

@LottieVixen@dev.glitch.social I'll give the compilation a try tonight. What Ubuntu are you on?
