Purism calls itself a "Social Purpose Corporation that does not exploit people and puts doing social good over maximizing profit", but I'm not sure that's reflected in their actions, including disabling reports entirely for Purism!Mastodon instances:

I just don't see how it's possible to reconcile "doing social good" with "removing the mechanism for assigning consequences to bad behavior", and I can't trust the project.

so i started crying because my cat was purring.
because it made me think of her when she was younger, before we got her.
because before that she had kittens as a stray, and all but one of them died.
because they found the litter when she was captured, and they all had distemper.
because she was really friendly to the people from animal control, and they found her kittens
but all but one died, and it made me wonder if she knew they were sick, if she was friendly because she wanted help
because all but one died and maybe she knew, that's why I cried.
