c'mon ups, i want to align things and use force guages, and furrow my brow as a try to level things

someday i will listen to some chill tunes on my record player, but today is not that day

the phono input on my amplifier has so much capacitive loading that i'm using a usb audio adapter with a phono stage to replace it.

of course i needed to test this configuration at 2 in the morning.

literally no-one:

me: so the phono stages on these home theater setups are complete crap, and this one is no exception. i don't exactly have an external preamp, but the preamp on the ADC i got to transcribe LPs isn't too bad. I wonder what the input capacitance is? I can probably use that as a preamp for now. boy, i should really get some sleep

the news is horrible. y'all have anything good to report?

getting the vinyl fever again. it's not going to be pretty

does anyone know of a good free (gratis) video editor FOR LINUX that is effective at kinetic typography and/or making words appear at specific moments (ie to sync with a song)

for example, in kdenlive the workflow includes
1. making a title
2. positioning using numbers (not GUI)
3. typing the word
4. adding to timeline
5. selecting time zone
for every word. id like at least 1+2+3 to be a fluid step like in Premiere Pro, and 4+5 together would be even better

update: shotcut is working vaguely better than kdenlive for me here
