It’s weird seeing tech people complain “Android Queue is lifting the multitasking gestures straight from the iPhone!” when these features in fact originated in webOS on the Palm Prē way back in 2009, and came to the modern form in the Prē 2 in 2010 - bar indicator included!

i don't wanna retread all of the ink that's already been spilled on infantilizing language already, but

(1) many people have very valid reasons for using and identifying with such language, myself included

(2) many people, especially women, have very valid reasons for being uncomfortable with such language, and you shouldn't assume that someone you're talking to is as comfortable having that language applied to them as you are

I need about $120 to pay for transportation fees by Sunday, and to pay for food for me and my best friend.

Me and her are going to be hanging out, and neither of us have any money. We have been down on our luck when it comes to finding work, and getting money. I would LOVE to be able to take her out to eat after we see Detective Pikachu together on Sunday.

Any additional funds I get after that initial $120 goal will go towards food in the coming weeks. I am running low on drinks and ingredients for various dishes.

All of my upcoming bills have been payed for for this month, and now all that remains is making sure I can pay for my Lyft/New Jersey Transit/MTA fees alongside paying for food. That is until next month.

I am still busily looking for work, and so is my friend. We are doing our best as it is.

I will also give my friend a percentage of any money I happen to get from donations.
