@Mycroft It is iconic, but in the same way that mcdonald's (compared to say, in-and-out or shake shack) is iconic for the USA. they do a lot of "we're all-canadian!" marketing but their food is just reheated stuff.

another thing I do: hand out favs as if they were candy, for any reason from "I'm glad somebody said this" to "I wholeheartedly agree" to "this ain't for me but I'm glad you're living your bliss"

@guerrillarain@witches.town well the only source I really have is my own interest in it & what I've learned from talking with other people about it, but I am no psychologist! I think that vore is basically a proxy for sexual intimacy often, like furry stuff is about having a proxy body. it's an interesting way of wrapping together desire, fear, physical contact, and self-agency to avoid a lot of anxieties (but again, I dunno what goes on for sure in my brain!)

@guerrillarain@witches.town oh yeah, I was more meaning did you want to talk about why it's satisfying emotionally to some people (besides just 'some folks are freaky'). also I think it's acted out just by talking irl mostly, except I've heard people get busy in sleeping bags for it
