the contrast between the source input of being physically uncomfortable versus being made to feel comfortable, where the source input simply ceases is nice. its interesting to have a vr headset impacting your leg/knee while slumped over and not be uncomfortable.

The Luddites were a labor movement.
"The Luddites themselves 'were totally fine with machines,' says Kevin Binfield, editor of the 2004 collection Writings of the Luddites. They confined their attacks to manufacturers who used machines in what they called 'a fraudulent and deceitful manner' to get around standard labor practices.
'They just wanted machines that made high-quality goods,' says Binfield, 'and they wanted these machines to be run by workers who had gone through an apprenticeship and got paid decent wages. Those were their only concerns.'"

One of the 22 or so remaining lesbian bars in the US burnt down recently, here in my adoptive hometown Tulsa, Oklahoma.
They were a super LGBT+ friendly space. Many of my trans lesbian friends loved that place. It would be devastating for the many patrons of the bar. I think something of cultural value would go away if it disappeared.
If you can spare a few bucks, give them some help to rebuild?
