Hey.
Some people aren't capable of getting the help they need.
It's a tough call on what to do in these situations, since I'm honestly not sure what the right answer is either due to many repercussions happening from many choices.
But just standing there and doing nothing is not a good choice.
Tell people you're there for them. Tell them you love and care for them. Reassure them that you won't leave their side. Do anything in your power to make someone in need as comfortable as possible.
And please. Don't pressure them to do anything. Pressuring will only do the inverse action, e.g. pressuring them to get help will only push them further away from getting help. I know firsthand this is what happens.
