I finally got this domain name transferred to an account that doesn't have my deadname associated with it. it only took $16, seven support emails, and 6 months -_-

@qualia @raccoon maybe I should try some of these in a vm. I never cared for the package management on red hat / fedora but I also haven't tried it in over 10 years ^^;

@qualia I really liked arch once it was all set up but I haven't used in since they changed the install process. I'm not looking for something quite that fiddly anymore. debian does sound tempting

@qualia haha I guess I'm not too concerned about stability since these are personal machines. I think strangely I've had more issues dealing with different ubuntu versions / upgrades than I ever had in the years I used arch

I guess any rolling release linux distro recommendations in general are also welcome

does anyone have thoughts on manjaro linux? arch + an easy install and more stability is pretty tempting

it's my last day of vacation today. glad to see I got at least some of my energy back

my brother is visiting tonight and I really hope he's been watching twin peaks so I don't have to waaaait
