Federation thoughts
It's more obvious to me now that in a healthy federation, communities hold more power than individuals, but individuals experience freedom through being able to step in and out of different communities fluidly.

Talking about CWs, anxiety mention
For the record, even I, a non-confrontational, quiet, shy girl, will hecking block accounts that refuse to cw politics. I'll do it for my own good, because I'd like to avoid getting triggered by awful stuff when I'm not in a state to handle it.
The solipsism, entitlement, and callousness of intentionally ignoring requests to cw is just infuriating and has no place here. An abstract thought exercise for them is a potential anxiety attack for me.

a lot of people are out of the office today and it's actually quiet for once. I really wish it was like this every day

@bleak yeah... for good reasons too :/ I'm really hoping the new explosion in instances makes the focus less on masto.social and makes it possible to create a part of masto that can do better (awoo.space seems to be doing the best with this so far).
though I kind feel like that won't be enough if eugen is still front and center. I'm also hoping a new wave of devs can help with this but that's a little more dubious...

I'm so bad about remembering to update things though. that and I'd miss out on moderation and everybody's private posts

For me the hardest part of making a Mastodon bot was figuring out the OAuth dance to get my access token.
Twitter offers a UI that does this for you, so I made one for Mastodon! It works on any instance, but it does require you to run a `curl` command (that it generates for you) at the very end. Hope you find it useful!
