food
I'm not great at feeding myself in the morning, and it's easier for me to have some sort of meal replacement shake. I usually get the pre-bottled kind, but I hate how wasteful that is, so I'm trying the powdered kind. It's fine, but the last bit of it can be unpleasantly gritty from the powder that didn't get mixed completely.
Upon using the blender bottle for the first time I've determined that it's a scam. The little wire ball inside does nothing. It's mixed exactly as well as it would be by putting it into any sealed container and shaking. I don't know what I expected
re: food
@matt I am a fan of my Magic Bullet blender for stuff like that. I mostly use it to make breakfast smoothies but it'd work really well for meal replacement shakes too.
re: food
@fluffy Yeah, it felt like overkill but since the blender bottle doesn't work that'll probably be what I try next
re: food
@fluffy (although it won't be overkill if I use it for more than just mixing powder into milk, which I probably will once I have that ability)
re: food
@matt I mean it's a cheap, underpowered blender.
I suppose you could use one of those wand-style milk frothers/blenders if you want something that's ONLY good for making meal replacement shakes but like, why?
re: food
@matt FWIW I have a full-size blender and I never use it since the Magic Bullet is usually enough. And I use an immersion blender for everything else.
re: food
@matt actually come to think of it I"d probably recommend the immersion blender before the Magic Bullet, since you could use that to make shakes and it's also great for a lot of things that the Magic Bullet can't do.
