there were lots of foxes in the trees, kinda fluffy-looking foxes that "sang" like squirrels, *lots* of foxes--like one or two in each tree--that coursed along the branches like an orange and white river along an oak branch that had grown through a broken window into their den inside a long-abandoned airport terminal, and all I can think was "I've *gotta* post about this on Masto!"

I was on an airplane where they gave the passengers tablets for an animated test/quiz to select "captains," who would sit in the first class area and be responsible for passenger safety in emergencies. the test involved identifying swimming koi, complicated math problems, and identifying sarcasm.

the city was half in ruins, from whatever disaster had hit a year or so ago, but there was a lot of rebuilding going on. it was an odd city--lots of solar panels, including massive sails of them, as tall as the skyscrapers, constructed between buildings (because THAT MAKES SENSE FOR SOLAR PANELS OBVIOUSLY), and *many* abandoned buildings/areas that seemed to have been overgrown for decades.
