I know complaining about noise in space in a Star Wars movie is ridiculous at this point, but seriously, are those Star Destroyers jumping out of hyperspace /into atmosphere/? How are they making booms audible from the surface? (There's no "sound inside the ship" excuse this time - people on the ground are reacting to the sound.)

It is possible - I'm not sure - that this scene with Leia in her quarters is the first time we see hyperspace from the /side/.

Like, the First Order was supposed to be a splinter group of the Empire that never acknowledged its defeat, and they fired /one shot/ and took out the Senate, and suddenly the Empire's back in charge again and the Republic doesn't exist anymore? This seems really bizarre.
