@hummingrain times like this I basically take up a second residence in the shower. lukewarm showers are a goddamn lifesaver. >____<
@hummingrain ah yah... I need to drag up my summer dresses again. they're basically long sacks with holes for arms and head, and they are RIDONKULOUSLY comfortable to schlep around the house in, even more so than the boxers and tank top I usually wear. on the downside, they both have holes in really unfortunate places, and I can't find anywhere that sells the damn things for less than $50. >__<
@green Maybe stitch punk patches over the holes?
@hummingrain the holes are in places that are not really amenable to patching... and the dress fabric itself is pretty flimsy; the holes aren't at seams, they're just weak spots--it'd be like trying to sew patches onto paper towels. I'd be better off trying to make a whole new dress, again... but I don't have a sewing machine and that's a *lot* of hand-stitching. still... tempting...
@green I just changed into a dress I ordered a while back that has a bad front seam (gathering at the chest, why) that makes it so I don't wear it in public.
Ventilation! Also, apparently, rather short in the back! (I guess another reason it won't make it into any regular rotation.)
