@guerrillarain@witches.town at one point I had three decks--my "training wheels" Rider-Waite (with the descriptions taped onto the cards, it worked well to train myself but was ANNOYING to shuffle), the Robin Wood deck (which is VERY PRETTY but kind of bland in some ways), and... another one I don't even really remember because I didn't actually use it much, the Cat Tarot I think. now I just have the Silicon Dawn deck which is FANTASTIC OMG.
@guerrillarain@witches.town and I hardly use the SD deck at all nowdays, but every once in a while I take it out and play with it and go "OH GOSH THIS IS SO PRETTY AND AWESOME."
soooo I guess the point is, I don't think Tarot decks need to be justified? XD after doing semi-professional readings for a while (for like $5 each lol) I think of them as tools--treat 'em right, but don't feel bad about replacing them if they don't work for/with you.
