the Asshole Alert system has been activated. I'm starting to learn the difference in the crows' alarm calls; shorter, bark-like caws usually indicate a threat in the air, a hawk or eagle, while longer, growly calls are for a threat on the ground, like a human or coyote. this one is an air alert, but there's still too many leaves on the trees to get a good look at whatever's alarming them. I'd put money on one of the Cooper's hawklings, though.
