@chr

okay TECHNICALLY I came up with something that'd probably be terafauna once

it was a massive ancient supercreature that ate black holes and digested radiation

and I had a whole setting put together where it was going to come back to the Sol system, like the probe in Trek IV, but instead of attacking accidentally

the 'terafauna' thing was going to end up trying to asexually reproduce

which would cause gravity distortions and spatial distortions and oh yeah the end of life as we know it

@chr

and I had a WHOLE LIFE CYCLE worked out for these things that was on a wholly implausible scale BUT was biomimetic, kind of 'felt' like biological reproduction works sometimes, etc. etc.

and I had a cast of characters, Andromeda-Strain-style, who were going to figure it out and kill it

(including an anthropologist largely based on the Betty White character from Community)

but like

I can't imagine selling a book about an alien five times the size of Jupiter fucking Earth to death O_o

@chr

oh, and the reason humanity realized it was coming was because it has internal flora that were harvesting humans and turning them into digestive organ structures

...

it's a really fucked up story idea and I still don't exactly know how to write it O_O

Follow

@sydneyfalk @chr@cybre.space I would absolutely heckin' read it, though.

@green @chr

vote of confidence appreciated ^_^

(also, I misspoke: not 'five times' the size of Jupiter, it was five something, but I forget the math and I was typing fast, the scale was gobsmackingly appropriately huge)
