@Elizafox I dunno about "normal," but it was definitely a stage I went through when I was learning to brain without stewing in depression. after shorting out for a while, the bad thoughts triggered less. nowdays they only trigger under pretty extreme/specific circumstances, they usually auto-terminate, and on the rare occasions they cascade into a full meltdown, I know what's happening and can self-care appropriately until it's run its course, which is *much* shorter now.
