@cassolotl then how do we appease the human desire to categorize things and base expectations on archetypes? What are the new archetypes? (I can't argue for getting rid of them altogether, because that would be really confusing.)
The webcomic Leif and Thorn has a spectrum of masculine to feminine, with like five major presentation aesthetics. Maybe that's a useful basis?

@cassolotl@dev.glitch.social @DialMforMara a child-gendered person is anybody of that species under the age of 500 years, regardless of their current genital configuration; they're assumed to still be "experimenting." once an individual passes 500 years they're no longer child-gendered. it's recognized as an arbitrary cutoff, but given the other options available it's considered an acceptable boundary. ;)
