big gust of wind, and the crackle of a tree or large branch falling... so if I disappear suddenly, that's probably why. >___<

o-kay, time to go take down the birdfeeders before they get lost over the side of the porch. o____o

@green Yeah, I was thinking of refilling mine today, but that might not be the best idea. D:

@hummingrain and the wind is so *gusty*, it's like "oh I guess the wind is done I can hang up the birdfeeders again WAIT NOPE" *crash*thud* and now I'm feeling guilty because ANGRY HUMMINGBIRDS. XD

@green Oh no! Hummingbirds are, contrary to popular belief, the animals *most capable* of expressing anger.

@hummingrain yeah, after watching a couple of hummingbirds fighting over territory for the feeder after I hung it up, and seeing them *drop to the porch floor* and wrestle while pulling each other's feathers out--hummingbirds are *mean* little bugbirds! XD

@hummingrain yeah, that was my response. it was kind of scary! I went and looked at the feathers afterwards, they were so *tiny* (and badly damaged) I couldn't recover any, it was like fluffy glitter. just a few flecks, though, fortunately. I haven't seen any birds fight like that within the same species, other than mallards, who are renowned assholes...
