THUNK! There it is again, slamming into the screen. I don't know why it's doing this. That window is covered by blackout curtains, so it's not like it's going after something it wants. Also, given the fact that it won't stop, it's apparently doing this on purpose.
This is how horror movies start, so I can only conclude that I've been given my own Netflix series.
@fidgety yes! there's a nesting family of crows that has claimed my porch as part of their territory, and it's been so interesting watching their habits change as nesting season approaches. they kept one of the kids from one of last year's batches to help this year, and I'm looking forward to watching them training the new flock of fledglings how to eat out of the suet cage. I know several of their calls now ("ground asshole," "sky asshole," "food here").
@fidgety but if they aren't mobbing the eagle... that's weird, yeah. I dunno, maybe your hard has turned into Crazy Bird Place??
@green
Corvids are SERIOUSLY THE BEST! They're endlessly fascinating.
@green
I don't know.
I can also say that the large flock of crows that live on our property thag are usually ALL the hell on top of everything that happens, so if something they don't like enters the yard, we know about it.
They're eerily quiet today. And they're always chattering about something.
(I have kind of a soft spot for crows, so I like to listen to them. Fun fact!: Crows have their own language, so they have different calls for different threats.)
