More surgery recovery thoughts

One reason I haven't been moving much: Whenever I walk, even for a few seconds, I have to sit down and let things settle for a bit; otherwise it gives me uncomfortable tingling for minutes on end, as though my body's decided to punishing me for interrupting its important graft-adhesion work.

Hopefully it's the fault of the surgical drain, which is set to be removed tomorrow; I can't wait to have a lower half completely free of plastic tubing (my "interim junk").

One document that's been more helpful than anything my doctor gave me (CW for dilation pics): ai.eecs.umich.edu/people/conwa

It's a brief overview of what to expect in recovery, and it's far more descriptive re: lived experiences/assorted hygiene concerns ("oh, THAT'S what that stuff is!") than what most other reading material is willing to go into. (It is over 15 years old, though, so I've been taking its suggested techniques with a grain of salt.)

@Lobst Oh my gods I wish I'd had this doc.

@Lobst (Except for the very last section, which I'm sure is great for some people but is cringefully mis-aimed for me. I am admittedly a special case here though)
