I just don't want to end up in a start-up company.

@Siphonay Fortunately that's one of the things you do have some control over. A super-important thing to do in a job interview is get a feel for "Is this a place I want to work?" There ARE tech jobs that don't eat your life; lots of people who end up in the life-eating ones do it because of promise of big-money. Sounds like you're already less worried about that from what you said earlier, so just... don't get tricked, I guess. ;)

@Siphonay Source: I managed to get a non-life-eating job at a company that constantly has articles written about how life-eating it is to work there so... I must be doing something right. c.c;

(Is it possible that the "something right" is having a sort of tech-adjacent job rather than an actual coding job though)
