I just figured out what the word awoo is in reference to and I'm embarrassed that it took me this long.

Slow day for me.

@lilybunny I suspect that I'm one of them, but I'm hoping to be a respectful and quiet participant with the goal of learning about the community and its norms if it will allow me.

@kevingimbel exactly that. I should have been more precise.

@kevingimbel It seems like each community picks its own verb. Ours seems to be awoo.

The only "experiments" in creating a world like this one that I can remember are App.net and Diaspora. It's sad that there haven't been more.

@inmysocks that's pretty neat. thanks for letting me know!

How does federation to mastodon.social work? I skimmed Github readme and was able to figure out how to setup my own instance but not how to federate it to mastodon.social.

Also, hello!

Awoo Space

Awoo.space is a Mastodon instance where members can rely on a team of moderators to help resolve conflict, and limits federation with other instances using a specific access list to minimize abuse.
