@makyo I'm personally a little wary, because their core userbase exploded from outside social media, and via their local timeline they can be pretty insular. They seemed slower to adapt to general Mastodon genuineness, with some even begrudging the federated nature of the Fediverse.
On the other paw, they're nowhere near as walled off as Awoo is, so you can see almost all of the Fediverse from there like a normal instance.
@Mycroft the latter was a bigger draw, yeah, though I've seen some of the former. I'll do some poking around ^^
