Venting about Late Capitalism
I am so sick of the status quo.
I have friend who works long night shifts at a food processing facility. What they'd call "A workin' man's job" back in the 50's. The kind of job that ensured you a salary that could buy a house and provide enough to care for a partner and a child. You wouldn't be well off, but you'd be doing alright.
Today, they're stuck living with a parent, 'cause money's too tight to leave.
They're not even in a major city.
Fuck capitalism.

@mawr And somehow people have been convinced removing more stability from that person creates more 'freedom'. I really hope those people in the working class that see that way someday notice the weight of their chains.
