Throw Character from Fightgame is my favourite character!
Fightgames gush
My road to grappler infatuation has completed.
For the longest time I've held off on playing grapplers because of the 360 inputs. I could never get them down. In Tekken 7 I picked up King (My first real love of fighting game characters), and enjoyed the grappler feel without a 360.
After the Guilty Gear Strive Beta, I tried Potemkin in Accent Core +R and fell into an even deeper love.
Recently I've been messing about with other titles, and trying out their grapplers (Victor in Darkstalkers, Hugo is 3rd Strike). I love them all, and they have allowed me an opportunity to learn the 360 input (on hitbox). (Fightgames be just learning and growth, yeah?)
I now unabashedly love all grapplers and will protect these huge himbos with my life.
Hey everyone - announcing that @Ratttz has put out a new breakcore album called Workhorse and it goes *places*

re: Fightgames gush
There are at least 3 big-name fighting games coming out within the year that all have confirmed rollback, and I am unreasonably excited for all of them.
it delights me when fighting game players are exactly as fucking weird as their mains: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zk7KEXsCZxw
@hystericempress And despite it's status as kind of a meme game at this point, the SxT op was super hype too https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=62C63afLp9s

Still my favourite, but ngl, I think Indestructible is partly responsible for introducing me to the hype that is fighting games.
Fightgames musings
So Leon Massey just released a video about the apparent Fighting Game malaise. A malaise that I was completely oblivious of because of my own excitement and passion for the potential future of this genre that Guilty Gear Strive represents, and how one can build a thriving community despite distance or quarantine (If you have good netcode)
Fightgames gushing; Discord invite
Heck y'all. I played some more matches of Guilty Gear XX Accent Core +R the other night and that game is SO FUUUUN. The rollback makes online matches painless, and there are enough people playing that I'm spending the same amount, if not more time in matches than waiting for matches.
This game is bringing back my passion for this genre, and I honestly can't wait for the quarantine to lift so I can once again host the monthly friendlies amongst my friendgroup.
'Course, in the meantime I'm also hosting a discord for online fightin'! If anybody is interested, you can check it out here: https://discord.gg/pGtfqrw Rest assured, I'm working to make it a welcoming and friendly environment above all.
"Downtown Ryukyu may be heavily populated, but the lack of any real interaction makes it feel like a ghost town. Numerous activities are available, from surprisingly complete recreations of golf, pool, and darts to afterthoughts like the dreadful karaoke minigame."
Who gets the feeling that 'interaction' here means 'committing random acts of violence to innocent bystanders'?
