Ugh Apple is gonna kill iTunes in the next OSX.

I wonder how much of a pain in the ass the new OSX "Music" app is gonna be for someone who has no interest in streaming. Every other time I open the IOS Music app it interrupts me by spending a few minutes trying to load a 'hey subscribe to our streaming service' popup instead of letting me just play the music I have paid for. And then I snarl and force quit it and reload it, and someday it is gonna decide to do that every time I start it and I will scream.

I wonder if it will break visualizer plugins too. I am still a paid user of Aeon because I AM A TOTAL NERD.

Oh geeze I just realized it might not support Smart Playlists either, those didn't show up until v3 in the original. My music listening flow completely relies on a few of those. Well this will be fun to keep an eye on news of.

@anthracite Ars claims: "Going forward, Mac users will be able to sync their iOS devices' music libraries in the Mac's Finder." Looking forward to hearing how that supports dumb playlists, let alone smart ones.
