Hello customer service.
I would like to return my "being an adult" package I upgraded to a few years ago. I don't think it's been a good fit.
Please downgrade me back to the "pubby with big pawbs" level of service. I'm aware this locks a few features, but the benefits don't seem to be worth it.

@tilton yeah same here, it feels like a little too specific. Like, eye contact could be every avatar and "animals" would count as everyone of my posts, because dog.
It seems like stuff like that would be better fitted to a keyword system rather than a CW, but that's not how the system is designed I guess.
I have my mastodon all setup just to auto expand content warnings, but filter out specific things.
Maybe that's what they're for, they're just supposed to be keywords that allow folks to block them out if they want.

I was being very productive at work today until I made myself have a sad by closing down the work slack group that I had for my team.
I'm the lone survivor. I had to put up the chairs, dust, and turn out the lights. I... I just sorta want to cry.

With the update to v4.0 and some changes to layout and display, I kinda wanna commission some custom art for the instance!
I'm open to anyone on the fediverse who is interested in a paid commission for an icon and splash image for tech.lgbt, but my preference would be a local instance community member first

CWs aren't some sort of Badge of Shame among the Mastodon instances. They're a part of the local culture. We use them to be good neighbors, to make godawful puns, to give each other little surprises.
That's in large part because Mastodon was built up by a pile of tired, disabled, traumatized, queer folk, and we built a space where we could engage with the world around us more easily. And then we used the same tools to be goofballs. Because that is how a human do.
