im enthusiastic about 10% of the new technology i've seen since 2010, and the other 90% i'm terrified of. the fear in 2010 was of a kind of police state oppression, but we were mainly worried about someone banning bittorrent or something banal. now, who fucking knows, i think we'll end up with some kind of libertarian tyranny, where if you say/do the wrong thing a drone will break into your window & kill you, and nobody will ever find out what group of people even sent it
