my aim when i initially began cutting my hair shorter was never to look more boyish or masculine, it was to look less girlish and feminine, and that shouldn't necessarily have to equate to being more masculine somehow
in other ways, i actually began presenting *more* femininely than i ever had in my entire life before being openly nonbinary so fuck people thinking long hair is inherently girly anyways

i can't see anything as being inherently gendered or binary, not anymore
gender is what you make out of it, and what i'm making my self expression out to be is that everything i wear, everything i express, everything i do, is....... just me. not masculine nor feminine
