Trial of Mana's translations in Collection of Mana uses a hi resolution mode for rendering text that creates noticeable artifacting when using screen filters in e.g. RetroArch if the core changes the screen buffer size to accommodate it. It's a really impressive romhack; they really abused the crap out of the SNES to pack in all this text.
@revenant really? huh. maybe it was just that much more obvious since the text is so thin in the translation.
The game is also on a 48 megabit cartridge ROM. I don't think that fits on any production SNES cartridge ever made? Correct me if I'm wrong.
