@unascribed I've found when you start cargo culting with any of these technologies, new or old, you run into problems. Especially with event sourcing: if you only go halfway in any direction with data, it becomes a nightmare to maintain, ACID or not.

See my employer for an example of how to use literally every trendy technology incorrectly!
