I know it costs money and I don't really understand back end stuff and things such as coding, but it just gives me a lot of appreciation for people who Do run instances, especially ones with 100+ and even 1k+ members.

Tbh someday I wanna get into hosting my own fedi server. I think it would be cool and I'm already drawing up ideas

To keep it simple I will probably either keep it single-user or severely limit the number of people that can join
