Having a lifting program that is specifically three days a week does a great job of keeping me on track, because if I skip a workout my cycle is all messed up and that is horrifying to me.

5 novels to know me

It's hard to find the separation between novels I love and novels that show something about me, but I can look at all of these and say there's an important part of me in each of them

1) The Last Unicorn - Peter S. Beagle
2) American Gods - Neil Gaiman
3) For the Love of a Dog - Patricia McConnell (not really a novel I suppose)
4) The Trainer (Laura Antoniou)
5) The Riddlemaster of Hed (Patricia McKillip)

@Litchi be ready for some awesome hippie apostle outfits!

@Litchi it has some really good songs! And it's so fun! And I find its treatment of Judas really poignant

There is a Jesus Christ Superstar screening/singalong at a theater here coming up and I am SO excited. It's such a weirdly intense religiously significant movie for me--I'm not Christian anymore, but I was raised Catholic and I have a lot of fondness for aspects of it still. And I looooove a good Sacrificed God.

I realized today I haven't had a day off since September 3 and I am so excited for this 45 minute break with coffee and homework at a nice cafe 💖

animals, sad

One of my mom's dogs died suddenly and unexpectedly today. 11 years old, no health problems, completely fine and normal all day--left alone for 30 minutes, came back home and he was curled up in his favorite spot dead. He was a great dog and I'm so sad and simultaneously desperately need to hold all of my dogs.

I'm getting resentful and frustrated and exasperated with their complete inability/refusal to make even the smallest positive change in their life, tired of feeling like it's my job to bring them up all the time. I try to emotionally disengage and let them handle their own life, but then we just end up in joint quiet misery :/

I am getting really burned out on caretaking. Not doing a good job of being a partner to someone with completely untreated depression.

@Tanuki @Litchi I got really bad about using social media, but more buddy pictures will be incoming

I found an Irish ballads playlist on Spotify and I am going to be reliving my youth for the next many car rides. The Parting Glass is still one of my favorite songs it turns out

My job is working with dogs and I have a boarding puppy living at my house right now and three of my own dogs and I'm currently working seven days a week. And I still get excited when I see a dog in public 😻

My really awesome sister has a story published! Please buy and read and love it if you like eerie/spooky things. Hers is called "Hum." amazon.com/Utter-Fabrication-H

After being someone who walks dogs, I'm learning that normal humans walk at about 75% of my optimal walking pace.
