Yay I have Linux Mint installed on this old laptop and it actually runs with decent speed again~
In the last ten years I have turned from that guy who's like lol put bacon on everything to a Southern girl whose default potluck dish is vegan and yells at people for posting ableist crap about gluten free food on Faceboop.
Question for people who know about Linux:
I have a 4 year old laptop that can't handle Windows 10 and has been super sluggish after the forced upgrade. I am thinking about putting a lightweight Linux install on it so I can actually use it again.
Problem: I have not touched Linux in a decade and don't know what is good anymore. Where should I start? Also I am old now so something that doesn't require a lot of work and time investment to get working would be a requirement.
Right now I remember why Wayward playing 80s and 90s music constantly is a good thing: no Christmas music.

I once saw someone say that pixel art was the first truly masculine art form and to this day I carry my great grandmothers cross stitch sampler around with me so that in case I ever meet that person I can throw it at them

@Sparrow That was a very good book. I read it like six months ago right as it came out and I am still trying to unpack.
@anthracite I really enjoy doing that, the closing tabs and figuring out how I got to the end in reverse.
