legend has it what happened is they went to los angeles while recording and promoting creepin on ah comeup and while there heard myka9 with the freestyle fellowship, bit mike's thesis about "my voice is miles's trumpet" and became kind of a horn quartet. they never did anything as cohesive as "e.1999 eternal" ever again though.
