Capitalism
Here's something shitty about capitalism that I feel doesn't get talked about enough: It creates situations where you're just waiting for things to be over. Life is finite. Ideally you should cherish every moment. But a lot of us spend every work day waiting for the day to be over so we can go home. We start looking forward to the month being over because that's when we get paid. We spend most of the week waiting for the weekend. This isn't a good way to spend your life.
Who needs a hug? I'm offering!

In slightly better news, I have found a way to disable both Pocket and the advertising for a Firefox account, without needing to build Firefox from source.
It still has the code in there, but..it's better than nothing.
In "about:config":
Set "extensions.pocket.enabled" to false
Set "identity.fxaccounts.enabled" to false
Restart your browser.
